Manowar
Le groupe Manowar a la prétention d'être le meilleur groupe de heavy metal du monde, mais
aussi le plus puissant et le plus violent. Il détient le triste record du nombre de décibels
atteints sur scène avec des montagnes d'applis saturés, qui produisent ce son surpuissant
qu'ils appellent le "vent noir" ou "blackwind". Comme je préfère personnellement le silence
et le calme au vacarme des avions qui décollent, j'écoute leurs albums doucement, le soir,
avant de m'endormir, en me laissant bercer par la douce mélodie de leurs chants guerriers
et barbares... 
Le chanteur Eric Adams possède effectivement une voix exceptionnelle, il ne se contente pas d'hurler ses textes comme un malade, il sait moduler sa voix du murmure le plus doux jusqu'au cri de guerre le plus violent. Si certaines de leur compositions sont vraiment magnifiques, il y a toujours quelques morceaux très médiocres ou provocateurs pour gâcher la qualité d'ensemble de leurs albums. Mais rien ne nous oblige à les écouter en boucle...
